Go Kart Racing Program

Are you into racing? Are you posting good lap times? Would you rather be racing than doing any other sport? Do you think you can bring home some racing trophies for Cambrian Academy? Then we may be willing to pay for some of your education.

Application for a racing scholarship requires parents to promise that they will support their child's commitment to the program.

Commitment to the Sport

Cambrian International Academy racers have a specialized Physical Education curriculum. Physical fitness must be maintained, especially when participating in endurance races.

Students will be expected to attend some practices during school hours, and scheduled races after school hours (some Tuesdays and Sundays).

Kyle Loh, Cambrian Academy class of 2016, continued racing while at San Jose State University. He is now a Formula racer and got his first Formula win in June of 2021. THAT'S HIM IN THE 5!

This is an example of a graduate living a happy, productive life.

We were happy to jump in with a sponsorship contribution to his Portland race and gratified beyond words when he posted the photo memory from our 2016 racing team. (below)

Commitment to Higher Education

Qualifying for a racing scholarship at Cambrian International Academy requires both a commitment to the sport of racing and a commitment to higher education. CIA students are expected to stay on a college-bound track. Our primary goal is for our students to gain admission to the top-tier four-year colleges, where we expect them to complete a full degree program.

Ryan Newman is a good example of a successful stock car racer who has come to value the education he received at Purdue. He finished the 2009 season in 9th place--one of the top 10 stock car drivers in the top league in the world! He finished the 2014 season in second place.

We expect our students to maintain a 3.5 grade point average or better while participating in extracurricular sports. Our small class size and dedicated staff ensure that this is all attainable.

GO Kart Racing League

Your Headmaster is a NASCAR fan who enjoys the sport of racing. In addition to satisfying the need for speed, racing serves as a launch pad for relevant lessons in physics, geometry, engineering, strategy, and character.

Our racing league formats include endurance races, heats competitions and sprint races. Increase your driving skills by competing with the best racers in the Bay Area. Click here to learn more about the facility where we do our racing.

OUR MISSION is to prepare our students to enter the universities of their choice; to prepare them to acquire the knowledge, skills, and character to enjoy happy, productive lives.

We strive to accomplish the first part of our mission right here on campus. However, it isn't unitl years later, when we hear from graduates like Kyle Loh, that we know we have accomplished the last part!
