Currently, we are offering scholarship assistance to talented musicians in Grades 6-12. This is a great opportunity for guitar players and drummers who want to play in a band and learn to make studio quality multi-track demo recordings as part of their school day.

Our Stage bands perform regularly on campus and have performed at outside venues as well. Members have also had the opportunities to meet and receive lessons from famous musicians.
Our fully equipped multi-track recording studio is used to teach audio engineering, record and mix our performances, and to allow musicians to record professional quality demo recordings.
In addition to learning audio engineering, the music production class travels to provide sound reinforcement support to concerts, festivals, and school plays at other schools.
YOUR MUSIC INSTRUCTOR
Mr Castia has over 30 years of experience performing live, reaching back to his early high school years when he performed as a lead guitarist in a Bay Area original music band, as well as his high school jazz band where he also filled in on bass when not on the guitar. He currently performs regularly as the lead singer for a local cover band (Reckless Few) that plays at least twice a month at various venues and festivals, covering songs from Journey, Rush, and REO Speedwagon, just to name a few. He has written, recorded, and performed several original songs that have been heard on 107.7 The Bone, Spotify, iTunes, and other streaming music apps.
Mr. Castia owns and operates a live audio company providing full digital sound reinforcement to local bands, venues, and corporate events. In addition, he provides his sound/audio engineering services to Studio Instrument Rentals, AKA Concerts, and Treblemaker Entertainment. He also works as an A1 audio technician, and L2 lighting technician contracting to corporate A/V Lighting companies for corporate events.
BEGINNERS WELCOME
Scholarships may not be available for beginners, but beginners can quickly learn the basics and perform with the bands and then continue to develop their skills. The Headmaster is also a musician, having played guitar and several other instruments since sixth grade. Here, he shows beginners that they can start playing well-known songs with only one finger.
Most popular songs are not nearly as complicated as the music books make them seem.
Advanced Middle School & College Prep High School
Cambrian Academy has an outstanding academic program with small classes to ensure students learn what they need to lead happy and productive adult lives. In addition, the fine arts program is also designed to develop and promote individual talent.
The music program is made up of stage bands with regular performances, beginning and advanced choirs, Audio Engineering classes, individual lessons, and more. Instead of large marching bands and big team sports, we have small stage bands and individual sports.
